Country music hollers back at hip-hop

This article from the moment i saw the title had me glued because I am a huge country music fan and I really thought country was getting wierd on what music they had like all the taylor swift songs arent country and it bugged me when they were playing. I just loved how it picked out three great songs that almost make fun of hip hop in a way cause it talks about there side ways turned hats and there grandmas ride and how people play rap music in there car so everyone in the city can hear it just made me laugh thinking that these songs actually did that because these are three of the best songs in country music. Im a huge fan of country music and it bugs me to hear songs on the radio that arent country but because a "country" music artist sings them they are which gets me upset as well. I really do like though that country music is making a stand and becoming more and more popular as time goes on.

The FINAL TWILIGHT

Thank goodness thats all i have to say after reading the article on what all the young girls and guys who are in love with this series said about the final movie I wanted to throw up. I am so sick of hearing about these books and movies there about vampires and werewolves it shouldn't be a love story it should involve a huge battle or fight and killing and everything not love. Im just glad its done so we don't need to listen to girls droooling over edward and taylor lautgner

Sunny Philly

If you have ever seen the show Its always sunny in Philadelphia it is hilarious if not you defintly need to go see it as soon as possible. It is alot like the show the office where they do completly stupid things for no apparent reason but its so funny in the article they are saying that season 8 of this show will bnot be that great but I saw the first one and I couldnt stop laughing the show is so funny the main characters and the people acting them are perfect fits.

facebook and twitter

I was just sitting in my room thinking about how much time people spend and waste on facebook and twitter but that isnt even the part that bothered me i was looking through all the posts on facebook and i just realized why do people put posts up about there life and they alwasy seem to be complaining or bitching about someone else I just dont think anyone really cares to see a fight on facebook when facebook is a way to connect with friends and family that maybe you dont see very often and that you can look at there pictures to see what they have been doing. Then on twitter its supposed to be a 2 line tops post and people put there whole life story on it. I jsut dont really think people need to do thatt but then again what am i saying im doing it on here so what can we do right.

I think that the facebook posts about this election are ubsurdly wrong because people are talking about like its the end of the world that Obama has been re-eleceted it doesnt matter who you voted for but it doesnt mean you can just rip the other candidate apart because then you are just sinking to the level of the Ads on tv but what I do think is a positive about facebook posts about politics is it gets people involved in politics

The Walking Dead

The show Walking Dead is an intriguing one, if you havent seen any of the episodes it really is the walking dead when you think of zombie apocalypse well thats basically what happened but there are still many survivors.  The main Character Rick is a former cop who is in a coma and wakes up and finds that a zombie apocalpyse has happened. This show has attracted me and many of my friends to stay up to late parts of the night and into the morning watching it because it is so intriguing. I mean who hasnt thought of a way that if there was a zombie apocalypse who hasn't thought of there escape route or who they would bring along with them and who they would stand with to fight back. I know I have I'm ready for whatever comes my way with zombies. But this show is outstanding its a must see show in my eyes because it shows struggles and things that would seem that most likely would happen in a real zombie apocalypse. In the article "sick" it talks about many of the main parts and how the main people in the film really start to change over time. I thought it was a great article on the film and I think that people would really enjoy this series.

True Grit Screen Report

Within in the movie True Grit there are many main parts of the story but when you watch the movie throughly one part that really stuck out to me is right away in the beginning when the girl is dealing with the salesman of the town about her fathers horse and the ponies. The girl shows her dominance to a man as soon as she walks into the room she states what she wants and how she wants it and as they deal with each other she actually gets more than what she stated the first time and uses her lawyer as a bargin chip to over power the salesman. She really makes her presence powerful in the movie right from the get go because of this scene. What this means to the movie is it shows that she will be a strong hold throught the film and also will make her known as more than just a little girl but as a confident strong young woman.

Winning isnt everything

Winning isn't the only thing

                When I read this article at first I was upset because it brought me back to that play and that call that the referees had obviously messed up. When reading it the whole time I was thinking where is he going with this because to me it seems like winning is everything. I play college baseball here at Stevens Point and we had a scrimmage at practice between our teams and even when you don't win those games your down and out of it because I want to win so bad!! So this article really made me think especially talking about Russell Wilson and Pete Carroll how they acted like nothing should have been different and that the refs made the right made me think wow, is it worth winning if you have to win in this way. If I were in that situation what would I do, If I were to think I would hope that I would be the guy that could honestly say we lost that game and they deserve that win.  I just think that this article really hits people where it hurts when you think of the people that have cheated their way to the top and have barely worked their way and then you have someone else who works there butt off and doesn't get the job or the spot on the team because someone else cheated their way to get it. I agree with Mariniss because winning isn't everything  being honest and sticking to what you believe in is. If you were on national T.V. what do you think your family would want you to say? The truth or the lie and sound like a complete idiot on national T.V.

Baseball

If you think of America what do you think of? When I think of America I think of fathers and their kids playing catch with baseballs in the backyard or I think of a game at night under the lights with the smell of hotdogs and brats, with vendors screaming "beer here, beer here."  Growing up my entire life with a baseball in my hand and watching players like Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, pitchers like Justin Verlander and, Roger Clemens just draws me to this sport. When you go on Google and research Americas past time the first thing that pops up is Baseball. Baseball is the greatest sport in America’s history because there is nothing more beautiful than the nicest grass in the world freshly cut with Gods favorite shape in a diamond. Also when you go to a game you don't need to plan years in advance you can just say hey the Brewers are in town walk down to the park and buy a ticket, there is no better way for a father and sin to bond than over burgers, the night sky and the beautiful game of baseball.

Football

Football is the greatest game ever. There is no sport better than football because in what sport can you see grown men full out running into each other and trying to basically kill each other. Not just anyone can play football you have to be big and fast. Football is a sport where when you get to go to a game it's the greatest thing ever, it's almost a once in a lifetime chance for some people. Also football is a sport of unbelievable plays, where else can you see a 250lb man hurdle another 250lb man or where can you see a beautiful 60 yard pass in the air with a perfect spiral. In another case where is there men who are so fast and so big that if they were to run into a normal every day person they might kill them. I think football is the best sport ever because it is so unbelievable how athletic the men are in football. When you think sports you think football because who doesn't like football even if you don't you still have a team you cheer for because it's just what you do.
